OH NO!!

We have a busted down dryer and live in Seattle!! Hanging outside is not normally possible, so its taking forever for my inserts to dry hanging above the washer and dryer! Not to mention, JJ got shots yesterday and the roto virus vax, which gave him the runs. I ended up having to put a disposable on him. :(

How to make simple cloth wipes

So I made my wipes today. Right now we don't have the extra money to buy wash cloths, but I will be doing that in a few weeks. So I just cut some receiving blankets we had laying around. Just waiting for one of my little ones to poo now. HAHA

My own cloth wipes

I just got a bunch of receiving blankets from my sister in law, so I figured I would make my own wipes. Every time I change Josephs poopy diaper I think of how much better it would be to not have to spend money on wipes and how easy it would be to just throw them in the pail with diapers. So today I'm doing just that, I will take pictures along the way and post them. :)

Check out this give away!

This would be AWESOME to win!

Wish me luck!

She is so funny!

My daughter, that is 20 months, is so silly! She HATES getting her diaper changed, but if she see's me with a cloth diaper she will lay right down. She loves fluff!! I can't wait til we have her in cloth full time, I'm sick of pampers. I also need to make my diaper sprayer before I have her in them full time. My hopes is that she wont be in them long before she is potty trained.

Getting our stash going

After totally falling in love with the cloth diapers Ciarra gave us, we decided we wanted to take the plunge! We went out and got a pail, which is really just a garbage can with a lid. We are short on cash right now, so instead of spending money on a wetbag we just have this thick clear plastic bag that zips that we use in our diaper bag. My son is also exclusively breast fed, so I don’t need a diaper sprayer yet, but when I do I will be making it instead of spending $40 on one.

Obviously, 6 diapers isn’t nearly enough to cloth full time, so we bought 12 sunbaby diapers and 24 inserts for $78 including shipping. I love them!! For the most part they have great reviews, but I have read a few reviews of people that don’t like them. I think really, for the price, they are great diapers. I included a picture of our first sunbaby stash. I think I was a little more excited about them then Joseph was.

How we got started

Hello, my name is Dellyn and I’m a mother of two amazing kids. We are just getting started on cloth diapering, so I thought I be like all the cool kids and start a blog about it… a blog about poop, YAY! LOL

As of right now, my 4 month old little boy is in cloth full time. We have just enough diapers to last us a day and a half for him. My daughter, who is 20 months, wears cloth once or twice a day, but I hope to have her in cloth full time soon.

My main reason for wanting to cloth is the cost, I am so sick of spending money on disposable diapers!! I did some research while I was pregnant with Joseph, but never fully decided, then I became good friends with a few ladies I met on www.babycenter.com that cloth diaper. One of them, Ciarra, was kind enough to send me some dipes to get started. I fell in love from the get go! She sent me some Fuzzibunz, a BumGenius and an awesome dinosaur WAHM diaper. I started using those the next day and fell in LOVE.
